I will cut to the chase.
The Paramancers are few in number right now. No, I will go a step further... As of right now, there are exactly 3 of us! But, I will say this:
No matter what the anti-para folks and paratheists may say, there is power here waiting to be uncovered!
Some may say that it is no hard feat to go from a brand new 1500 Elo Warlock to a 1900+ Elo Warlock in under a year by spamming para and playing the % game with Para/FoD... but, which of them has done just that? None that I know of.
Then you will hear how Para is a boring and/or invalid strategy. The list goes on and on...
I occasionally see Warlocks trying to play the para game, but they have no idea what they're doing. I was the same once, and although I still have much to learn, I can show you what mistakes to avoid and how to use Para as much as a defensive tool as an offensive weapon. It is true that this is a game that ebbs and flows, and winning streaks can turn into losing streaks over night. But, one who can begin to master Para will be able to battle with the best of them, and with full mastery of Para, may even emerge as a new Master in time.
If you want to learn the secrets to Para and rise up through the ranks, I can show you how. If you want to stay low on the totem pole and hang onto your pride and so-called more valid spell-flow and continue to rub shoulders with other irritated grunts then you can do just that. You could join any of the other 3 clans, but they're all just copies of each other. So be a clone if you wish, or join something new and different. There is a reason you are seeing more and more Para being used by new players and alts, although much of it is mis-guided. Qnang5284 and Saypin, I couldn't have founded this clan without your help, and so it is time to let the training begin, my friends. You have been faithful to the Para, and now it is time to take your skills to the next level. And I invite others who have not yet closed their minds to Para, to embrace the flagon, sip from the cup, enjoy the aroma, and feel the power!

Every skilled Warlock would be just as skilled if any single spell were erased from the spellbook - except for the Paramancers.
If Paralysis were to go, or even be modified, you would be impotent; merely frightened children unable to defend themselves. The Orb has the power to do just that...

The Orb also has the power to make changes that increase the strength of Paralysis -- should the Paramancers win.

I was at 1890 three months after I played the game for the first time, and it was partially due to spamming para, to the point that Witch complained about me in her profile. I don't really look at that as an achievement, though.

I doubt it. Any time you throw a wrench like that you're gonna get mixed results. Some will adapt better than others, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that not every skilled warlock will be just as skilled. Toyotami is highly skilled, but what happens if you take away his goblins? I hope that never happens cuz his goblins still have a lot to teach me.

You are quite wrong. We use all of the tools available, we just happen to like Para a little more. Para isn't going away, but you did, and maybe you think now that you're back you got something to prove. If so, we can battle anytime, my friend

Slartucker, I didn't know that - it must have been well before my time, and whatever kind of a spell that witch put on you, I'm sad to see that you're on the wagon. And I'm also sad that you don't play games anymore, because for all of the analysis you do, you could be getting Elo and Ladder points for it, but to each his own
