I assume that Magneto takes effect as Invisibility, not Protection, so that it isn't in effect on the turn it's cast?

If there is more than one Magneto on the same target, and someone casts Shield on the target, does everyone get points? If I cast it twice on the same target at the same time, do I get double points?

I assume that Magneto takes effect as Invisibility, not Protection, so that it isn't in effect on the turn it's cast? Yes (it's effect starts on the turn next to it's casting). If there is more than one Magneto on the same target, and someone casts Shield on the target, does everyone get points? If I cast it twice on the same target at the same time, do I get double points? Yes (all magneto casters will gain points) and yes (you get points for each time one of mentioned spells was cast, even if they were cast on the same turn and produced the same effect).

Charming into a Shield to break the rule? This. I'm not starting any of my matches until I know whether charm+magneto is a win.

Charming into a Shield to break the rule? This. I'm not starting any of my matches until I know whether charm+magneto is a win. Since when it is a win? If you're charmed AND there is a magneto in play (hey, what was you doing all this time while he completed two 4-gestures spells?), just make sure to set proper targets for both hands, and you won't lose whatever opponent chooses. So the answer is yes, you may try to charm into shield, and if opponent casts it at wrong target with Magneto in play, you win.

Regarding the Isle rule, can I target a shield at no one? The rulings says that if I lose a point if I target "someone" other than my opponent, so casting at no one is ok then?
Also, does it count as "casting a shield" for the purpose of the Isle rule if I cast counterspell or dispel, which create shields, or are we talking about the spell Shield (in which case, does it apply to protection?).
Also, I for one hope that we don't have another tie this month...I have definitely seen more beautiful forum color themes...
