Nope, it's already stated in the rules that semis will begin on schedule regardless of whether the participants have already been decided.
The real reason is not to demean the other players and their accomplishments in the tourney. Starting early is like a big middle finger to those who haven't finished their games and secured their place in the final standings yet.

Should I continue tracking fantasy stats through the finals? Or just end it at round 4?

Should I continue tracking fantasy stats through the finals? Or just end it at round 4? Finish them out - I suspect my group(s) will take the honors

Yeah, you gotta continue it... otherwise no-one will have a chance of defeating I. Grek and the easy beats... (Plus, that's what we paid the premium for!!)
Go you good things!

So is the Final round going to start on the 8th as mentioned in the Round 4 results thread? Or are we in the "reserved" time slot as mentioned in the "Schedule and Rules" thread?

Well, I asked a similar question before and the "officials" yelled at me already... I think we are going to have to wait another week... So is the Final round going to start on the 8th as mentioned in the Round 4 results thread? Or are we in the "reserved" time slot as mentioned in the "Schedule and Rules" thread? Jayef

I wish they'd waited until after the tournament to start a fuss. I'm not even in the top 4, but I was really looking forward to watching those games as they were played and analyzing them.

Interesting point about the tournament finalists. place 1 (Bio) beat 2 (Toyo), 3(12), and 4 (Xade) Place 2 beat 3 and 4 Place 3 beat 4
In other words no finalist beat the person above them in the rankings. Couple that with the fact that precious few games were lost outside the final 4. Only 2, Toyo lost to Tchichi and 12 lost to Awall. (who placed 5th and 6th respectively).
I think this clearly indicates the fairness of this tournament format. Bring on the finals.
EDIT: I forgot to say thanks, to the ghost of ExDeath and Biologin for their great work and fair adjudicating.

I noticed my list of opponents wasn't that different to what awall had, so I wondered why my tiebreaker is so much crappier than everyone else... when I copy and paste your (Bio) math below I got 246/12 = 20.5, so either your math was wrong or you had some typos in the list of numbers. At this point I don't really think it matters but it's just a FYI... 12 - Maven, Rattler, zen, BioLogIn, Tchichi, Rasper, RedSpectra, xade, Toyotami, awall, succat, Freesoul = (18+13+10+36+24+21+16+25+28+24+16+15)/12 = 161/12 = 13.42

12 I was extremely sleepy yesterday when I started working on the tiebreakers (that's why I haven't finished with them in the first place), so it is likely I've made some mistakes. I'll double check everything and finish with tiebreakers today.
