I referred myself twice, my ex once, and one person from another forum who referred seven others, who all quit. How quaint.

Ya, so... can you admit how many USPs you bought? I would put my guess at about $500-$800 for me. Played 2 guys there, Nawglan and Emrys.

When I first signed up, my sign it was one of the first on the mobile dealy... anyways, the whole thing screwed up and Hoof worked some magic, and suddenly I was signed up, with 100 of the buggers... The beauty of it is though, years after I've stopped playing, the two characters are still sitting there, perpetually subscribed, earning points... woohoo! go bug!

Futher observations:
GBA: (11) Freesoul, Wastelin, Biologin, Awall, Ellipsis, Rasteroid, Salvor, Jes, Trefold, Igrek, Widewitt Isle: (5) Xade, Maknud, Boomfrog, Citanest, Vermont Para: (3) Succat, Saypin, Qnang BR: (4) Dubber, Toyotami, Nawglan, Emrys
GBA is now far outstripping the other clans in numbers. They have been very actively recruiting, especially among newer and low Elo warlocks. I think it will be very interesting to see how they do in the first clan round.
The other clans would probably do well to go after the remaining medium and high Elo warlocks that have not joined a clan -- there are plenty.
Meanwhile the Paramancers have not had anybody join aside from the two warlocks who founded it along with Succat...

Black Rose need not do such a mundane thing as *recruit*.
Warlocks who are comfortable with themselves, who have nothing to prove to anyone, who are willing to do whatever necessary in the circle will come to realize there is no need for acting out and join Black Rose in time.
Many of the Ronin may not yet realize that Black Rose is their perfect Clan fit.
As the excesses of the other Clans are revealed, Black Rose will accept Warlocks who come to understand we are the only real choice for power and glory on this Plane of Brimstone and Screams.

And thus, due to your happiness with yourselves, young blood to the Hellplane flounders and finds no home. With you, at least. Do you know how many were not even aware of clans, let alone a thing like the Rose?
I have no beef with the rose. But I am glad I chose a more active path.

Wastelin, Black Rose respects your choice and the choices of all other clans' members. There will come a day when members of the more actively recruited Clans realize they have outgrown their Clan and become comfortable with themselvesand no longer feel they have anything to prove to anyone. When that day comes Black Rose will be an option open to them. For Warlocks who already feel this way, Black Rose is an option for them now. Let me know when you're ready to move up

Where, on the other hand, the Isle doesn't NEED to prove anything - we just like to! For someone with nothing to prove, you sure like to try to make your clan name look impressive. Look, I can use The Isle too. oooooh - spooky.

You assume that someone who is not in Black Rose is not comfortable with themself. Not very likely.
If the Black Rose is a collection of people who are so comfortable, why have the organisation in the first place? Why have thorns? Why compete in the League?
Although we are all on this hell-plane for the same purpose, so I'll grant you the point on needing to fight.

Consistency, Vermont. It's all about consistency (and branding). As a state, you're used to the inconsistency of the weather - so I'm sure you feel you have something to prove. Otoh, as a state, you're d*mn good at branding (I blame Ben & Jerry for that) and you should be proud. The Black Rose brand is consistently one of ease, comfort, and class. If there were currency on this Plane of Brimstone and Screams, Black Rose would, of course, be the rich and the famous. We don't work to be like this, we just *are* Sorry you feel the need to grub for your self worth (errors in bold-italicizing Black Rose are the fault of the individual poster, not the fault of Black Rose as a whole)

Wastelin, to continue from my points to Vermont, Black Rose is about ease, comfort, and class. Why have the organization in the first place? Let me answer you with another question: Why do old-boys' clubs and high society exist? To give everyone else something to aspire to

Members of the GBA are happy to provide higher learning for those new to the craft. If they so choose to move on, then so be it. The GBA provides organization and structure to a chaotic world. The GBA provides an avenue for service to the realm, for those of us whom have already reached superior skill and knowledge. We provide the light of knowlodge where there is ignorance.
