I'm an unexperienced player wich has great difficulties to understand the exact behaviour of the Paralysis spell in a ParaFC game. Here is what I wrote in my player profile, after losing the advantage because of extremely akward documentation with paralysis spell : Paralysis spell : This spell is awfully documented. A paralysed C turns into a P in a ParaFC game (and ParaFF too ? no clue) ?? It is written in the description : "C, S or W it is instead paralysed into F, D or P *respectively*", this is false. It is also said : "Otherwise it will repeat the original position". False again : a paralysed P turned into a D in a recent game, for no reason obvious in the documentation. If one of the masters around here could write a decent documentation about this spell, I'll be more than glad. I'm tired of having to face this spell with absolutely no idea of what's going to happen...

Welcome k!
The description of paralysis you have quoted is actually correct. Here's how paralysis works, step-by-step.
1. The spell is cast (and isn't blocked by Counter Spell or anything else). 2. The following turn, when you submit orders, the paralyzed player will have "Paralyzed(1)" by his name. The casting player will have to choose either the left or the right hand. 3. The paralyzed player submits orders normally. 4. After these orders are submitted, either the left or right hand gesture (depending on what the casting player chose) is totally ignored, and is replaced with a NEW gesture based on the PREVIOUS gesture that hand had, according to the following chart:
previous F or C --> F (In the ParaFC rule variation, both F and C paralyze into C instead.) previous W or P --> P previous S or D --> D
For example, on turn 3 Bob has spellflow WWS/FFF and casts paralysis at Mary. Mary has spellflow SFW/SFW. Bob chooses to paralyze the left hand, and Mary enters D/D for gestures. Mary's right hand is unaffected. Mary's left hand ignores the D she entered and instead performs a P, since W paralyzes into P on the above chart. So Mary ends up with SFWP/SFWD.
5. If the paralysis caster hits the same player with paralysis more than one turn in a row, he does not get to choose a new hand each time. So in the example above, if Bob hit Mary with paralysis again, it would affect her left hand automatically, and her fifth turn spellflow would look like SFWPP/SFWD_.
Hope this helps.

Thank you, it does help very much ! I was indeed confused by the "previous" gesture thing, it's still a complex spell to master.
