Paralysis has been replaced by a new mindspell as per this thread:
Enrage: FFW
Enchantment - Mindspell
If the subject of this spell is a warlock, he cannot gesture W on either hand on his next turn.
This spell has no effect when cast on monsters, not even to cancel with mindspells. So don't cast it at a monster. See below for explanation why.
Wish-it-were-paralysis: FFF
Enchantment - Mindspell
Same as paralysis, but you may NEVER, EVER, EVER cast this at a warlock (only at a monster). This is only left in existence because there is no practical way to use FFW against monsters without changing the implementation of the game.
If you ever inadvertently wind up with FFF (get hit with Amnesia when you're at DFF, for example) make sure you target it at Nobody or at a monster.
Real Paralysis: DSFFF
You may still cast paralysis (either at a player or at a monster) from DSFFF. This is to prevent the new mindspell from screwing up Disease too badly. Of course, you may also cast DSFFW if you like, but DSFFWc obviously does not cast Disease.
Exdeath calls the new spell "Comfort." I think that this sounds too positive, so I suggest that it be called "Enrage" instead (you're so infuriated that you can't bring yourself to do something as defensive as gesture W).
Implementation: On any turn in which one player has FF on one hand, all players must target their mindspells at "Nobody" on the next turn and announce their intended targets. On the following turn, everybody must act as if they were constrained by the mindspell that they were hit by last turn.
Ex: I have FF/SW and you have DS/xx. On my next turn, I gesture W/D and you gesture F/x. I announce, "Enrage->self, Fear->you." You announce, "Maladroit->you." On the next turn, I am not constrained at all, whereas you are honor-bound not to gesture C, F, D, or S.
Handling Charm Person: If you charm your opponent under the above rule, send a private message on the forums telling him what to do. The victim shouldn't read the message until he's decided what he would have otherwise gestured.
Handling Monsters: Targeting mindspells at monsters can be done as normal - there is no need to target them at "nobody." Since FFW is not actually a mindspell, you may use FFF instead (but only for targeting at monsters, not at warlocks).
Ex: I have FF/SW, you have PSD/xxx. I input F/D, targeting my F at my Ogre and my D at nobody. I announce, "Fear->Self." You meanwhile input D/x, targeting your Charm at my Ogre. The game will handle the bouncing mindspells on the ogre, and I am required to input gestures next turn as if I were afraid.
Exceptions: If one player has FF on one hand, but it is obvious to both players that there is no threat of FFW, then targets can be entered as normal. For example, if you hit me with FFW while I have FF, I cannot cast FFW next turn and both people know this, so we play as normal. Same deal if one player has FF and gets hit with DPP. I don't think PSDF warrants an exception, because the victim won't always know that his FF hand is getting disrupted.
I'll invite the first player who replies in this thread to the game I created. If two more people are interested, feel free to start your own game.
