I was reading the rules for Spellbinder, the game that Warlocks is based on and was wondering how Raise Dead, one of the spells that isn't in Warlocks, would affect the game if it was in Warlocks.

More coding; more bodies. Okay I'll leave the longer theories to the big people round here...

Fireballing a goblin could be more fun if you knew you could do it again to a slightly crisper goblin later!

I recall vaguely some post or other by Raven Black about how it rarely saw play and would have been a massive pain to write in (as you'd need a whole graveyard to keep track of the corpses). I makes poison better, which is nice, and in theory it makes FoD worse, though in practice DWWFWc is going to get through, cDPW or even just cw is going to be waaaay easier.
I haven't done any serious research or anything, but a quick think and gut instinct tells me Raise Dead, in the DWWFWc form, is only going to see real play in team melees.

And in team melees it's ridiculously good. Seriously, six gestures to bring a warlock back to life with FULL HP? And to boot it's uncounterable? And shares all but the final gesture with a deadly attack spell? Geez.

I think the only way you should be able to use "Raise Dead" is if you complete the gestures, AND input the full lyrics and musical score to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
