I was inspecting an interesting family of blindness weaves when I came across this little gem of a dilemma. I don't think it'll ever happen in a game because it requires illogical play on both sides, but it deserves mention because of its unique nature. At the start, you're losing pretty badly. You have 4 life left, while your opponent has 14. However, you are resistant to both elements. Then your opponent hits you with blindness. You decide (for some reason) to hit them with an anti-spell on the turn after it ends and prepare a counter with the other hand. You see a Cure Light on turn 2, a shield on turn 3, and then your anti-spell gets countered on turn 4. Enemy: 01234 D???P D???S
You: 01234 DSPFP WWWWW
How do you use your counter to prevent them from either winning outright or taking some other lasting advantage?

xade is correct; you will notice, xade, that our valiant 4-health warlock is way ahead of you and surrendered on turn 2.
Were the WWP actually WWS or something else non-game-losing, you would need to consider: a) SPPFD on the left hand from them (their spellflow being DxSPP/DFWWS) - this could deliver a spectacularly elegant time-stopped SWWc that would ignore your resistances and kill you. b) Delay Effect (spellflow of DFWPP/DWSSS). c) Maladroit (spellflow of DFWPP/DxxDS). Unfortunately, you cannot counter all of the above. Delay Effect seems the most likely despite being notably weaker than the other two, but an opponent capable of failing to hammer in the lightning bolts in such a situation might be doing anything...

On turn four it should be apparent whether you see a shield and a magical glowing shield, or just a magical glowing shield. Which is it?
