2 Slartucker: Hmm... you make me thinking about Anti-Spell (closest to Blue: 'Mana short' or Green: 'Tranquility') and Dispel Magic (closest to White: 'Armageddon' or 'Wraith of God'). I'll try to correct my table. I can't decide what's about Haste (closest to Green: 'Wild Growth' or 'Regrowth' or Red: 'Mana Flare') but IMHO all growth spells needs to be Green. Permanency seems to be Green (closest to Green: 'Instill Energy' or 'Regenerate'). All offers can be accepted and recalculated. 2 Derfel: I think real life is less interesting than Magic: The Gathering...

That's an interesting way to think about Haste. I think of Permanency more along the lines of Rancor, or Moldervine Cloak, or all those other crappy enchantments that return to your hand. And yeah, Antispell is very much along the lines of Mana Short or Rewind, but white has stuff like Abeyance and Orim's Chant too. Could go either way.

Tranquility destroys enchantments; Anti-Spell prevents spells of all types from being completed. I don't see the connection. Perhaps Anti-Spell could be likened to discard effects -- which would make it black!
Dispel Magic on the other hand is much more like Tranquility, though I suppose also like Wrath and Armageddon. And Jokulhaups, and the blue mass unsummon spells, and so on.
Haste on monsters is quite like Double Strike, which I've seen mostly on red cards. On warlocks it seems more like card advantage than mana advantage to me, which would make it blue. It is hard to interpret.

Anti-Spell doesn't affect monsters+enchantments=permanents, so I think 'discard your hand' is better description for Anti-Spell effect, which means it is 'black'.
