Forced Surrenders are fine, unless an exception is made -- and I might well make such an injunction in the later rounds, if somebody goes out of town for a couple of days. But really there's no reason anyone should leave a game running for 3 days in a tournament.

Okay, okay... just to clear up, I was only *kidding* about playing slow against unregistered players.
My offer stands though to regular players who can't use Paypal - mail me (yes, "snail mail" me) $8 US in your regular currency, and I will register you via Paypal under my account. Heck, if you are a long time regular player who I recognize, I might even use Paypal BEFORE I receive the currency in the mail!

Yep, having just registered... (after a good few years of playing - *pets shiny new R*), I have a couple of points. 1. It's $8, not $5. 2. The book option isn't really an option anymore cause it's all sold out. (yes, there is the print on demand option, but it seems quite a hassle) 3. 20 games at once is awesome!

Pity. It's not a bad read.

Thank you, Slartucker. I'll try to follow to your advices. P.S. How you think about problem of different timezones? For example, if two players live in counterzones (12 hours of difference), they can do maximum 2-4 moves during the day (at morning -- 2 moves, and probably in evening -- 2 moves). P.P.S. It's 23:40 there now. P.P.P.S. Derfel, theoretically, i _can_ pay $8 to a PayPal, but i must use somekind of untruthworthy organizations and send about $17-$20 to transfer $8 -- without any guarantees. I don't know what is paying by email, at all...

No, not email, "snail mail". Put the money/cheque in an envelope and post it to him. Then he will pay the money with PayPal.

Different timezones are definitely a problem. The thing is that making appropriate allowances for them would require delaying the whole tournament by a couple of months, which I'm not keen on. I personally have been able to play pretty speedy games with warlocks from all over the world despite working 9 hours a day and sleeping at least 7, so I have to assume it's possible for others as well.

2 Rycchus Sure, I see. Probably you don't imagine what happens with money which sent via Russian Post Service... : ) I'm afraid that Derfel can't receive nothing except blank envelope... : ) By the way, the rules of Russian Post forbids sending any valuable items like money, gold, silver, gems, etc. P.S. Anyway, I will try to find the way to register. Someday... : )
2 Slartucker Yes, I know that I can play more faster than 4 moves per day, but it depends on both player activities. So we can look at true result really soon... : )

At the risk of asking the obvious, they will be names-out-of-a-hat then?

Crystalballs, more likely. We are playing Warlocks, after all.
