I've received a number of messages about slow play and have ended up checking on most of the games. The following games appear not to have begun. Ericdcrow appears to be AWOL, and I know that Reds is away briefly, but the others are somewhat confusing as both warlocks have recent idle stamps. If you are in one of the first three games, be conscious of the time limit.
Spez - Mpchatty BzAli - Atticus BzAli - Sneezy
Reds - Dakuan/Spacca/Neocow/Zugzwang Ericdcrow - Dni/CalicoJack/Jes/Chaz

Sorry - have been a bit slow in getting underway - three games now on the go (although one hasn't moved for a little while, the other two are well underway) - not currently registered (going to asap, though!), so can't start the other one (vs Zen). Should not be a problem to complete in time, though, as I'm available to play turns regularly throughout the day mpchatty

It'll sort of be disappointing if those people who win by "default" due to slow play go on, while us poor saps that lost in a hurry get to watch by the sidelines...

To be honest, I'd be quite upset to win by default - I'd rather try my best and get thrashed

Reds seems to have started his matches. One piece of advice - don't open D/P, because if your opponent does as well, you have the cluster... loopage trifecta: 1. High Stakes, 2. Dual D/P openings between warlocks who know about the loop, and 3. a time limit eventhough you need to slog through some 30-odd turns of loop before anything interesting happends. e.g, don't be like these guys, which will very likely end up becoming a draw as I doubt they can wrap that up in the time allotted. games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=59571&turn=1

Chaz v. Ericdcrow still hasn't started yet.
I've decided to jump the gun a bit and mediate this one. Neither is registered, both have too many games going on to set one up. On the other hand, of our pool, Chaz and Ericdcrow are the bottom 2 players.
Mediation = setting up a 3-way private Maladroit ParaFC melee match, inviting both players, then surrendering in the first turn. It lets them play each other without the need to have enough free slots to start a game.
The only problem with it is that the results won't count for ELO, as it's technically a melee match.
Slartucker, let me know if that's no good. Let's say the same thing happends in the rest of the tournament (a bit unlikely, the pods is the only time this comes I think), we can use this trick then too to keep things moving forward.

No, that's no good. Everyone received repeated exhortations from me to clear up their queue if they were unregistered, and to communicate with me if they had any problems. I was very clear about the potential effects of not having games open. Given that other players surrendered in melees they had going in order to participate, it would be a slap on the wrist to them to step in and rescue players who did not heed the warnings. I'm certainly not going to do that.

You should have set up your game with zen before you accepted those challenges. I assume you're getting on with it now, because you've finished two of your games, but I thought I ought to make the point for others, especially as Slarty put this in the instructions.

Looks like zugz just screwed up with that self-amnesia for no reason, though.

Actually, to be totally honest, what I _should_ have done, is register.

This will get shot down... but can I replace someone if they drop out? I could play all my games in under an hour. ;D
I was taking a break and missed the tournament that I brought up in the first place! My fault though.

Unfortunately, you're right... it's too late to join the tournament. Sorry lokiv!

If I don't make it to the 2nd round (which I don't think I have), you can take my spot.
