I have a good and a bad news for all of you (especially for Xade). We've finished our third match.... in a draw. I blew us up when I had no other remaining obvious options games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=60462&turn=29So now we're at 1-1-1. I'll wait for Slartucker's opinion on what we should do now

Oy gevalt.
The rules call for a subjective appraisal at this point, a time extension already having been given and the round having ended a week ago. (I'm not interested in delaying things further, anyway.) The subjective appraisal is that Zugzwang will move on, due to the fact that Zugzwang's win was more decisive than Spez's. Nothing about the tied game contradicts this finding. So -- Zugzwang advances to face Xade.

That seems pretty fair, since he had game 3 locked up and Spez's only out was a double death. I didn't see the other games though.

I agree with Slartuckers decision. He did had me pinned down. I know i didn't play that badly (I'm pretty proud of myself actually, i din'T think i'd manage to get this far), but Zugzwang should go on It was a blast playing on this tourney Xade, good luck! I hope you manage to play more than 1 turn per day against Zug... he... well... isn't onlite that much

While I don't disagree with the decision I have a certain sympathy for Spez. Had Zugzwang made more of an effort to be online you could easily have played a decider. I thought him lucky to be given a wildcard in the first place as he couldn't even finish his first round games. He is through to the QF's having only 2 victories to his name. Apart from that Good luck in the next round Zugzwang.

Agree with Spacca. Whilst it may be true about zugz' win being "better" (I only viewed the third game), there is a strong case for the decision only being so tight because zugz wasn't around enough. And that kinda sucks for Spez. But then what're you gonna do? That bracket is dragging the rest of the tourney back already - there isn't really time for another decider, even though that would really be the optimal solution. A lateral solution would of course be to slow me down whilst the rest of the tourney catches up If nothing else, I'll at least be the quickest participant in the tournament.

I know, I've been playing slowly and craply. This should change after this weekend, when I will *finally* have a computer at home...
I'm not going to argue with the decisions, because Slarty's say is final. But I am sorry for the problems I've caused.
