Ok, with pairings posted, let's start the discussion.
Who's got lucky draws this time? Who'll have hard time?

By the way, awall, are you mod in this subforum too? If yes, could you please unstick January threads and stick April ones?

I reckon I got the easiest draw again. Though with the dwindling number of players, it's impossible to get a cake-walk draw nowadays.
I had a quick glance at the started awall xade match, and awall is concerned that opening clap is the best strategy. This has bothered me since the initial idea, but I think I have some ways to severely punish the first turn clap. None of them are conventional...
I'm really interested to see how people deal with this.

1880 -- I got the byatchin'est draw this month... BioLogIn's payback for me dumping the de-facto League Coordinatorship on him I guess

I'd consider opening S/P because the clap requirement somewhat mitigates its normal vulnerability to D/P. The possibility of throwing SWDDC/PSDFC is definitely useful. Then again, DSF/PWP seems solid with the possibility of disease, haste or a fast FoD, in addition to totally trashing the first weave.

I was a silly little wizard and made the mistake of opening DP/PS against C/C, even though I'd worked through the line and knew exactly how that would turn out. To anyone else out there considering it: learn from my mistakes and don't do it. EDIT: By the way, awall, are you mod in this subforum too? If yes, could you please unstick January threads and stick April ones? Unfortunately, I'm only a mod in the Warlocks Discussion forum, not in the Organized Play section. Sorry.

(also, I seem to have done alright with PS/DS, but I suppose that *is* different...)

Well, I managed to pull a Giant and win anyway, but I was certainly behind early on because of it.

My interpretation, for all that it's not worth, is that the rule refers to ten normal speed turns. Hasted turns and TimeStopped turns shouldn't count toward the 10 turn limit for either player (although clapping during a Hasted or TimeStopped turn still fulfills the requirement). But as always, wait for Citanest to pass final judgement.

Dag nabbit.
Yeah, hasted and timestopped turns don't count towards the 10 turn limit.

Oh man, I totally disagree... the Hastened/TimeStopped turns each get a turn number and that would be a really great strategy -- the opponent would still have at least 8 turns in which to clap. That would be a clever way to pull out a win, imho. Oh well. Dag nabbit. Yeah, hasted and timestopped turns don't count towards the 10 turn limit.

Aww. I was 7HP up in game VS vilhazarog. I could have para him till turn 10 to get defwin, but I decided to try to kill him instead. Then came two lost 50-50 and a surrender to paraFoD. What a pity, I'm again out of competition for the league title ( I still can kill Citanest, though, for my own amusement ))
