Whoa. There's hardly any participants in the league this month. Is this the lowest player total or has it been lower?

Doesn't surprise me. As with any new thing, interest will start out high and slowly wane. But I think that most of the good players will probably stick around.
Come to think of it, it might help if new players knew about the league. Does anybody think there might be a possibility of RB posting a link to the Refuge Forums (and maybe also the Refuge itself, for that matter) somewhere on the site?

How annoying -- this rule takes lots of paying attention... too much for me (once, so far)

I like the rule. A good mix between having an effect, but not overly so. Weakens the chainbreakers a bit, but both sides can plan around it.
Dubber unfortunately missed it once, and I had even counted on it and not enterede an order for my to-be-para'ed left hand.

It would be reasonable to ask RB to replace the link to the RavenBlack Magic yahoogroup, which has been defunct for 4+ years, with links to the Refuge and the Refuge Forums -- it's quick enough to do, and some new players do read that stuff. Go for it awall.

"In the unlikely event that somebody does those things, or plays one move a week and won't surrender, etc., the coordinator can be called in to intervene." Slartucker
RedHot lately makes two logins (i.e. 3-4 moves) per week. I've had 3 possibilities to force him first 15 turns of our game. Dunno about others, but it is disturbingly slow for me. He hasn't responded to an e-mail I wrote to him, nor did he warned me about these delays nor explained such delays. I see no respect or honor to his opponent from him.
Being current league org and not wanting to ruling out the case I'm involved in (although I'm leading 15 to 11 with an ogre up), I'll surrender (show P/P) on the next turn in my game with RedHot (65235).
That's all.

Bio: I don't see why you should be the one to surrender though. If he's that slow and hasn't warned you, I think you're quite justified in FS-ing him.
On that note, if our game doesn't finish by the end of the month, I'll go ahead and surrender myself, as I've been playing almost as slow as he has (although not quite... I also have a league match going with RedHot, and I've had several chances to FS him as well even though I've been a bit sluggish myself).

He won't mind if you force - we've both been insanely busy in RL. I'll mention it to him this weekend. Next week our workload eases up a lot, so perhaps he was planning on trying to finish the games then, but I'll get him to do something either way.

awall because playing slow isn't against the League rules, and FS'ing is (against fair play, IMHO).
Citanest double surrender is fine with me then, as lesser evil. he'll need to wait a turn though, I already given orders for the next one.

Citanest after reading your PM: Well, to tell the truth was I extra nervous yearly today thanks to some real life issues. I'm not THAT upset by his disappearance, at very least I'm not _always_ THAT upset )) Although he still could have dropped a message that he is busy or something...
All in all, I don't mind finishing game next week, but I should stand by the word I've spoken. So I guess mutual surrender is a good way to finish this game =)

BTW, as far as actual chat about the round goes...
Para left only seemed to work decently well, but Charm right only totally nerfed charm. I found that PSD was much less powerful than I'm used to it being... sure, you can ruin the guy if he's already down on init, but it was way too easy to get hit by a nasty counterattack on the other guy's left hand. Specifically, double charm (which is one of my staples) frequently lost more initiative than it gained, which threw me off in a huge way.
