Looking for a new game to play... Post your suggestions! Or your favorites. Ideally, a free strategy type game.
Don't worry, it won't replace warlocks...

www.kdice.comI play as Vermont there too It's light strategy with perhaps more luck than you'd like, but once you get up to the 500 tables the social aspect becomes a lot of fun.

games.asobrain.com/Has free online versions of Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan. I find Settlers kind of clunky (and unsatisfying against AIs), but I've had a lot of fun with Carcassonne. www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=gleemaxgamesHas alpha versions of a handful of board and (non-CCG) card games WotC publishes, including Acquire, RoboRally, and Guillotine ("the revolutionary card game where you win by getting ahead").

fogchess.gamedruid.com/I wrote this one, so obviously I have to mention it first. You don't have to be very good at chess to be competitive here, being good at hide and seek helps too. You see just enough to remind your opponent that he doesn't see enough. Both boldness and caution can pay off. Try the AIs, they're fun. www.kapilands.com/Economic sim, I'm in realm 2 as MetaCorp. www.updown.com/Stock market sim using the real prices, earnings and trading volumes.
