This thread regards a game I game I recently finished with Wastelin that he asked me to comment on. I'm posting this publicly so that if anybody else wants to make any remarks, they're free to.

Turn 1
From the beginning, D/P vs. S/W should favor the D/P player. The "standard" opening for D/P is DS/PW. If I open SW/WW like I did, then we get:
DSFF
PWPF
SWSP
WWSW
You target yourself with Maladroitness on turn 4 to block Fear. Because of my W/W, I don't have anything offensive to hit you with until turn 5, at which point you have Paralysis to defend yourself and a nice fork with paraFoD or Disease or Cause Heavy Wounds. See this article for more details: minmax.ermarian.net/refuge/dsffod.html
Turn 7
When I claimed that your throwing WFP would leave me ahead, I was expecting you to go RH:D instead of RH:W. P/W was a fine move for you.
Turn 9
Watch out, Haste is deadly. The traditional answer to Haste is Amnesia, which completely ruins it. In your situation, you'd have been best off with RH:P on turn 9. If I'd then followed through with the Haste, I'd have been forced to clap three times in a row, during which time you prepare DPP on your left hand. Admittedly, my double Fireball, while satisfying, probably wasn't the most effective use of my Haste... but hey, I've always wanted to do that. (If you're wondering what I should have done, imagine what would have happened if I'd gone CFSSDD/CSWDSF.
Turn 19
Blindness is very situational, and I wouldn't have recommended it here. You essentially gave me a free Ogre, and while I didn't do a wonderful job with it, there it was a very risky play. I'd have instead gone S/F on turn 29. See this article on blindness: minmax.ermarian.net/refuge/taliblind.txt. You did do nicely with that Troll though; I took a guess that you were going for Antispell rather than summoning, and guessed wrong.
Turn 26
I make a game-losing error and target my Maladroitness at the wrong monster. This is even less excusable than the time I did it in the tournament match vs. Bio, as the two monsters weren't even the same type here!
Turn 36
I'm not sure why you shielded with your RH instead of curing. If you'd cast Cure Heavy Wounds, you'd have been up at 3 health instead of 1. Furthermore, endgame W's are extremely valuable, as they can go WFP, WPFD, WPP, or WWS. You still could have survived by going RH:W on turn 37 and countering my heavy wounds.
Any other turns you'd like me to mention?
