Thought it would be a good idea to make one of these public. That, and a clan which is itself a game would be awesome without words.
Clan Name: The Nomic Guild
Founding Warlock: MikeEB
Meeting Place: Guild Hall
Clan Colors: As described in the most recent post of the "Clan Symbols" thread
Symbol: As described in the most recent post of the "Clan Symbols" thread
Personality traits associated with the clan's members:
Interest in playing metagames, a desire to build clan culture from the ground up and raw creativity.
Short Description (1 paragraph minimum):
The Nomic Guild thrives on flux. Any aspect of the Guild is subject to change, as required by its members. There are strict rules for doing so, of course, to keep things democratic.
But the ultimate nature of Nomic means that even these strict rules are subject to change. In such changes lie the true power of the game of infinite rules.
Brief History of the Clan:
In 2006, the young proto-Warlock Mike discovered the Nomic Scroll, which contained the rules for a game more powerful than any other. In 2007, having mastered the game of infinite rules, he invaded the plane of Warlocks. In 2008, he found his opportunity to read the scroll...
-- Optional Questions --
Any historical, mythical, literary, etc. figures (or retired warlocks) the clan is connected to / feels are important: Peter Suber
Favored spells or tactics: Changing the rules in the middle of the game via permanency, delay or even elementals.
Motivation for pursuing the orb: The core of Nomic is in changing the rules. The power to change someone else's rules is too tempting to pass up.
Other symbolic stuff:Refer to the "Clan Symbols" thread.
