alright then "next time i take damage everyone plays roulette" Well, actuallly... you chose the target when you delayed the spell, so "next time anyone damages me, [named warlock] gets it" is more correct It's an incentive for everyone except [named warlock] but what if you don't select a target when you delay it?

The default target [of the turn banked] is applied by default (In my experience, the default target in a melee (when the default target isn't oneself) is the target listed at the top of the selection drop-down)

Or right, I forgot about the targeting rules of delay. You have to pick a target but when it's banked the target isn't declared. So "someone is going to die next time they attack me, is it you? Do you want to find out?" Of course they have to kill you eventually so the only sane plan is for everyone to immediately gang up on the FoDer and someone dies.
Guess it isn't as clever as I thought. A banked giant is the best you can do if your trying to threaten everyone with a big stick. Melee's are all about "diplomacy".

I thought the default target in melee was an opponent chosen at random? I think the rules state that somewhere, though that doesn't rule out what dubber says from being true anyway

fwiw, I haven't tracked this observation rigorously... but I remember the effect from when I looked at the list & didn't select a target & I was able to enter my next move immediately... and I don't remember any "huh, that guy wasn't on the top of the list" reactions ymmv

is the person that is at the top of the list constant throughout the duration of the game? Not in melee battles, in my experience. Dangit, now I'm going to have to watch more closely (which is not my strength)

can you delay more than one spell at a time per warlock? Sorry, no. An unused Delayed spell is overwritten by the new Delayed spell.
