December '08 Month Rule is: You cannot charm person into '-', '>' or 'C'. You can, however, charm into any of 'DFPSW' gestures. This applies to all charms, regardless of target.
To balance this, every successful charm person spell (i.e. anytime you chose gestures for your opponent after PSDF) will net you +1, and every time you'll be charmed (i.e. every time opponent choses gestures for you after PSDF), you'll lose one point (-1 point). Charming self doesn't affect your points (since +1-1=0). Mirrored charm works for the person who mirrored (he gains 1 point since he choses gesture; person who fired charm into mirror loses 1 point since opponent choses their gesture). Charms countered\clashed with other mind spells\targeted at monsters\targeted at nobody have no effect for this rule, since they don't result in gesture alteration.

Actually, let's keep the discussion in the Cathedral Square forum. We're just going to use the main forum for announcements and organizing stuff like score reporting and opt in/out threads. Thanks!

Rule update:
1) You cannot gain\lose more then 3 points due to additional rule (charms). In other words, after game you'll have your game score (3 points for win, 1 point for draw, 0 points for loss) +\- your added score. Where additional_points = 1 * each_successful_charm - 1 * each_time_you_are_charmed; if (additional_points>3) then additional_points=3; if (additional_points<-3) then additional_points=-3; This way in best case scenario you gain 6 points per game and in worst case scenario you lose 3 points.
2) If you (or your opponent) were charmed into -, > or C, thus breaking monthly rule, you (or, respectively, your opponent) MUST surrender next turn, BUT this charm will still count for purpose of additional points.
