Q: How do I join the league? How does the league work?

Q: How do I join a clan?
You will need to meet the clan's requirements. This may involve getting approval from the Elder or a vote of the membership, defeating members in duels, etc. In any case you can begin this process by sending a private message to the clan's Elder. The Elders are:
Guild of the Black Art -- Freesoul
The Isle -- Xade
Order of Paramancers -- Succat
Black Rose -- Dubber
For the remaining 6 days of 2008, it is open season and you need only PM the Elder to join; no initiation tasks are required.
Q: Do I need to join the league to join a clan?
Nope! You can be part of just the league, just your clan, or you can do both!
Q: Once it's 2009, when can I join a clan?
If you are not currently enrolled in the League (i.e. playing 5 league battles every month) you can join a clan at any time.
If you ARE an active player, you can begin the process of joining (getting approval, fighting duels, etc.) at any time. However, you cannot actually be named a member until the Hour of Mist.
Q: What the heck is the Hour of Mist?
League rounds will continue to begin on the 1st of each month, but they will end a little bit earlier now: on the 26th of each month. On the 26th, the Weaver will post preliminary scores. The clan Elders then have two days to give the Weaver and Unraveller any updates from the clan. That includes new active members, active members being ejected, votes held to choose a daimon or any other position, and also any changes to the clan charter. Then, on the 28th, the Weaver will post the final rankings and titles for that month, and clan membership lists will be updated.
We are doing things this way to avoid problematic situations where somebody is involved in league battles on behalf of their clan, and then leaves it, or joins a different clan, with those battles still going on. Warlocks who are not playing in the league, can be added to or removed from clans at any time.
Q: Can I join two clans?
Nope. Sorry.
