I am quite confused by the pairing this month. I mean, I ALWAYS play Toyotami. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself now.

Please note the 'must see' wording - this affects invis, blindness and timestop! Discuss and start playing ) So no storms or dispel while invis? Or they are allowed, but not counting as a clap? so it is useful to cast invisibility and blind at your opponent?

Blindness on oneself so opponent cannot show the clapping

It would be interesting, wouldn't it.

No spells are disallowed. But if your opponent doesn't see you clap because you're invisible, then he doesn't see you clap!

What if there is a clear spell effect that involves a clap?
And what if they "hear" you clap...I mean even if you're invisible, you might be making noise.
Oh, and do the spells that are countered count for the bonus? The wording says "cast" not "successfully cast".

Only seeing. Countered spells count, the wording says "cast".

Starting as joke, but now I wonder seriously. The rule states: "Your opponent must see you clap or attempt to clap"
Assume I didn't clap for turns 1-7, on turn 7 my opponent blinds himself... Do I loose?

Unless you (a) win before turn 10 or (b)use Remove Enchantment or fire off a banked or hidden-clapped dispel.

If you didn't have a C on either hand on any of the turns 1-7, and you don't kill your opponent and your opponent doesn't surrender by turn 9, and you can't PDWP your opponent, and you didn't DWSSSPPCC/xxSPPFDCx (or x/C of course), timestopping the both of you to show off your clap, then on turn 10 you must lose (or tie if your opponent also has not C'd). Did I miss anything? ETA: MikeEB makes a fine point about hidden clap'd Dispel.

Another question... the rule states you must clap at least once every ten turns, but then says that you must clap at least once in every turn with the final digit 0-9. That isn't the same thing. If I clapped on turn 0, do I have until turn 19 to clap again?

True fact. It's once in every stretch of turns numbered 0-9. That's slightly unfortunate because I forgot turn 0 is B/B, but too late now. So if you clap on turn 1, and do not again until turn 19, that's fine.

Dubber: Yep, that SPPc counts for points even though you didn't see the clap.

Dubber: Yep, that SPPc counts for points even though you didn't see the clap. So it counts for points *but not the Clap requirement* right? Lucky for Maven he Clapped on T19 so he didn't forfeit the game
