I think it won't hurt to start discussing now, before everybody will be gone for summer vacation. At worst, no one will reply here for a few months, no big deal, right?
As most of you know, for a last few year we use to have annual tourneys starting in September and ending in November. These tourneys were 1v1 and used modified Swiss system with a cut to single elimination top4.
If someone thinks we (don't) need a tourney this year or that we should use a different system\schedule or that we should make it a team tourney or whatever - please post here.
As for me, I was thinking about all this and I'm coming up with the decision that I will either participate in the tourney or run the tourney, but not both. And I don't know which one is better.

Well, do you want to win it or officiate it? If you want to win... participating is better

Nah, you gotta be involved Bio. I can run it if you want. Will need an impartial jury for any calls that need to be made- but I can do the rest.

Two cents from an senseless old coot: Bio should probably run it rather than participate.

Sup. Last year we started registration on August 24th (which is pretty late IMHO). We're still short of 'impartial judge', so I suppose I'll try to be one. Any suggestions before we start rolling?
And yes, if anyone is willing to help with setting some hype about the event, announcing it wide, etc. etc., this would be very welcome.

I'll be glad to message all active Warlocks (spam them?)
What we really need is a larger pool to draw from, at least long-term. Some sort of advertising campaign for Warlocks which draws in more strategy players.

Fixing para would help that. I'm remembering why I left before.

is this the place for that battle? Or, perhaps, there just *might* be a thread or two already devoted to that topic? *goose*

Hey, stop using logic and stuff to mess with my forum-polluting!
(Which is all a secret plan to catch up to xade in post count.)

You'll have to face me first, mwa-ha-ha.
Seriously, folks, I'll open up the registration and do all the routines later this week. If someone can help with making some hype, ingame-messaging everyone and their mothers etc. etc., that'd be cool.

Hey guys. I don't really mind, but at the same time I don't need to know your _current_ ELO now. I'll be interested in your ELO on the day when registration ends, though.
