SF/WW is weaker than D/P, but stronger than SW/WF. The reason we didn't discuss SW/WF much over email, Slarty, was because I don't think it's up to much... Checking my email, we did discuss both at some length, and we ended up with the following likely ends: DSFWPSx PWPSDDP
SFFFFFF WWPFDPP
---
DPPSDFW PSDPPSDD
WFFFFFFP SWPPWPPS
PDWP wrecking Haste is a good point.

Checking my email, we did discuss both at some length, and we ended up with the following likely ends: The lines you posted above are more okayish lines for both, I think. Both of them ought to be adequate against DPP/PSD with the para string. Both also look adequate against DPS/PSD, though again I'd prefer the protection in case of summoning. It's the DSF/PSD case that's the cause for concern, SW/WW's traditional opposition. There are a ton of lines to go through, but a lot more of them end very badly for WF/SW than for SF/WW IMO. Consider DSFW/PSDF, DSPF/PSDF, DSFW/PSFW. You don't really want to complete the WFP or the SFW, you want to carry on into para, and then the WWP gives better position in situations where D/P summons. SWD is of course no protection against summoning. If you try to treat SW/WF like a conventional SW/WW opening, you lose the WWSx/SWWS line, the SWDS/WWWS line, and the WWP/SWD line - still viable with monsters thanks to Protection - becomes a real liability with WFP. You're constrained to WFPS/SWWS, and that makes for much more exploitable spellflow.

Sorry i arrived late to answer your question... concerning turn 37:
the P/W was risky (and i may or may not have been drunk) but honestly, what kind of scrubber does DPF/ PWP to go into the ParaFoD. DPF come on...thats crazy. While we are on this part of the game...
4567890 FPWPFSP PDPDFPS
Wow. What a mess. I think of course in context it was okay...but there is barely a half completed spell there. (just teasing)
Generally, i thought in that game we both played pretty straggly. I do like unorthodox games, but they have a habit of looking very hodge podge.
I look forward to the next one.
