That is quite a list. How the heck did you spawn so many? The conversion rate, unfortunately, from 'spawnee' to 'active' player status is pitiful, though

Apparently I've spawned from Maven as well. Did not even remember. But it was a post on a page someplace that drew me here the first time.

So, by "spawning from" you all refer to the warlock who introduced another one? I took it to refer to another incarnation of oneself. So, I first understood that sillig was succat before he was reborn in the spirit of paramancy.
I have an alt who publicly states that he spawns from me. I'm not by nature a particularly competitive person, and I get easily distracted by everything shiny. Thus, if I want to know how I play at the best of my current abilities, I have to roleplay myself somewhat into being competitive. I read in Jack Vance's history of the Lyonesse kingdom that the warlock Murgen took certain of his character traits and created a scion from them: a second, derivative incorporation of his person. Different individuals, pursuing different ends, on the level of appearance, but the same person in essence. I did the same, using the more ... problematic aspects of myself. The result is somebody who is socially ... uhm ... differently functional. In addition, even I don't always understand him, and he is me. And he only speaks in Haiku. I apologize for every inconvenience he may cause.

Haha, awesome, utis.
Well, like some of the others, I had taken an interest in the original Waving Hands and was actively looking for a way to play it online. I do have a particular friend who pointed me to RavenBlack, but he never ended up playing himself. I did have a friend who registered at the same time as me with whom I played many of my earliest matches, named Nethose.
And apparently I spawned: LordStbbn Tryxana

We need a sort of waving hands genealogy tree to trace back everyone's roots.

Just kind of petered out over time. The link Hermit found could have been from gambitstudios.com, my old website I used for the Palm OS GameBoy Emulator I developed. (And that's where most of the joiners came from)

I spawned c1664.
I wasn't spawned by anyone, I've just saw original waving hands rules and thought "Wow, I've never seen such nice system of magical battle".
Then I got registered here(there was a link in a russian translation of waving hands rules) and...
got killed in 12 turns by succat and derfel.
After a year I thought "Hey!, I've never seen such nice system of magical battle. Maybe I should retry playing that stuff?"
And that's how I was spawned.
