Suppose player A has 2 Health left and is on this weave: WPP XWW
Player B has this: WFP XWF
Player B can continue to spam cause light wounds and Player A has to block them all: WFPWFPWFPWFP XWFPWFPWFPWF
WPPWWSWWSWWS XWWSWWSWWSWW
(Note that if player B is at 6 health or less, Player A can missile/ storm for the draw) Furthermore, Player A needs to correctly guess when Player B dummies the leading cause light, otherwise he dies: WFWFP PWFPW
WWSW- XWWS-
Is there a branch to this endgame that can avoid the storm threat?

If B is at 6, he can easily get a WWP(F/W) out of any hand. After that missle/stab are not an issue for 3 turns, and so is storm. Not only that, but missle is not an issue on the last turn, as WFP/xxP dodges DD just as well.
Anyway, note that one doesn't need to go for WFP xWF immediately.
Because WFP xWW gives you better options - you still have same WFPW/xxWF attack, but you can have WWP(W/F) as well.
