I don't think there's more than 2-3 players who still visit this forum, so don't expect a lot of feedback =)
Regarding
games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=82805.
T1-4. S/W is not the most common and is not the most powerful opening, and player who uses it needs some skill to play from defensive position. P/S is more versatile, and against S/W can get goblin + ogre for free by T4, as it was demonstrated. There was no reason to complete WPP on T4 for S/W player, SWDP/WWPS would have allowed to at least launch a counterattack with charms while shields last. But overall, that's why you don't usually start with with S/W - it gets you in disadvantage more often than not.
T6. It was correct for S/W player not to try invis into a counter, but clap is just awful, sorry if that sounds too harsh. P/S player will have PSD in LH; this implies PSDPP already, and this implies S/W player will never complete Dispel, so they should not even try for it.
By T6 S/W player has no spellflow and faces 2 monsters and P/S player has some attack going - all this just by doing some default P/S motions and by S/W player weaker plays.
T9 is the first error by P/S player. You just don't gesture D into incoming DPP unless you really know what you're doing. S/W player is still on defensive spellflow and faces 2 monsters, but P/S player LH flow is broken.
T11. PSD/DPP is possibly the most powerful opening in the game for a reason. P/S player could just go for D/P ion LH and stay on offence. DF is not flexible and was weaker exactly due to possible invis by S/W player.
T13 and on. Still, charm and 3 hits for invis is okay-ish, but WSPP/DFFD into invis looks like a panic / "I don't know what to do against invis" flow. Lot of gestures wasted, RH mangled with inflexible DFF. P/S player loses much of momentum, but is still ahead due to the face S/W player chose to clap and dispel, which is the surest way to get rid of monsters, yeah, but S/W spellflow is still atrocious - especially due to the fact that CDPW/CDFW is not a great idea. CDPW/CPSD would have allowed some counter-attack, and would have defended S/W player from Decease, btw. Interesting line chosen by P/S player, though, and decease landed.
T21. Going for para while dying from decease is like the worst thing to do, sorry for being blunt. Look up article on decease defence, it contains some basic and effective pattern:
minmax.ermarian.net/refuge/dis.htmlT23. If P/S player does WWP/SPS, they win the game on spot versus the flow S/W chose. One should learn to incorporate incoming disruptions into spellflow, you cannot afford to counter everything. WWS was unnecessary.
T24. You don't gesture SF into incoming para unless you know what you're doing. Don't award para player with a free "charm" effect.
T25. What was that with PP in P/S player's RH? Makes no sense to me...
T26. P/S player has by now lost all the advantage they had, only 3 hp above opponent and almost no spellflow.
T27. If you decided to fake invis, at least go for xWF/PWP. You have para and/or haste / FoD coming this way. xWS is weak here for P/S player. For S/W player, restaring the flow with S in LH is weak-ish too, but that's some kind of love with S/W, I guess =)
T30. Wasting time on WFP above 10hp leads to opponent having better flow and attacks. In this particular time, opponent had 50% chance to land haste (very powerful) or antispell (powerful). S/W player was lucky to guess with counter correctly, but they should not get into such situations in the first place.
T32. Still the giant is good, and fire protection is "not very effective". You just don't allow opponent to get a giant for free AND allow them to hit you. There are very few reasons to do so, and WWFP is definitely not one.
T33. Gesturing PSD into incoming SWD is weak. You kinda have to accept that you are behind at some moment, and start working on getting WWP and some protection.
T34. DPP self is horrible for P/S player. Just a shield would have been much better, just accept incoming DSF, PPS/WWS is more playable than what you've got. Read "strategy" section at refuge, think about incorporating incoming disruptions into your flow, same as T23.
T36. Well, P/S player is severely behind, but personally I'd still play a few more turns, something like PSDF/WPPx and hope that S/W player para at giant. Still not great, but still playable from that point. Although yeah, being down a giant is not awesome.
