I'm guessing one of the 3 that advanced in Pod 2 got one of the wildcard spots.

Well then, congrats to Spez and Rycchus for playing the subjectively better games!

Yeah well who said that you got the wildcard? Maybe it was me? I don't know how you fared in your games, but my loss against Rycchus was a serious loss, so maybe i was the wildcard Anyway, Who cares. Gratz to you all who made it to round 2

I don't think it much matters HOW you got in as long as you did!

As my former bowling partner used to say: "A strike is a strike, even if it was on the wrong side of the head pin."
So, in short. Be glad you are in the next round. Don't ask how or why, just play your best. (Except when playing me.)

I appreciate the support, folks. It's very kind of you to go to bat for me. However, in fairness, derfel scored the same number of points in the pod, including beating me. heh... either way, you're both in my dream team...

I merely assumed that since the Pods listings appeared ranked (and I was 3rd in my Pod list) I was subjectively the third of my Pod (hence I received the first wildcard slot).
No complaints here, btw, I was particularly glaringly ineffective for 4 or 5 turns in a row in my loss with a useless string of F/P which bled my initiative and contributed to my opponent's win.

Dubber, we're all joint first. See the rankings on the left. (Apparently not the case with xade and Toyo though.)
I don't think Slarty bothered distinctioning between winner, runner up and wildcard in our pod.

Hey, I have a solution - instead of deciding which person deserves the wildcard spot, why just not eliminate the top ranked player so far instead? Eh? EH?

I find it kind of intriguing that, while running this tournament, every tiny decision that I make -- as well as numerous random occurances that aren't actual decisions -- are speculated upon, picked apart, and analyzed so much. I especially find it amusing when something I said in one context is referred to in a completely different context while more relevant statements are ignored.
No, I did not bother to distinguish which of those 3 warlocks got the wild card and which 2 advanced straight up. It doesn't matter.

So, there's only six warlocks have 4 points: Derfel, Vermont, Alaric, BzAli, Morzas and Dni. Slartucker, maybe make a decision with throwing a dice? P.S. Any technical problem you can solve with two witnesses

I dunno slar, I think you'll find that you're wrong about that... No! He's right about that! In any case, I think you'll find that most people in this tournament have too much time on their hands, or something.

No, I did not bother to distinguish which of those 3 warlocks got the wild card and which 2 advanced straight up. It doesn't matter. Actually, the process to decide the first wildcard slot could be important... if you wriggled up a way to decide which of the 3 "6ers" is the wildcard, you could then apply the same standard to the 6 "4ts." But hey, having met me you prolly already know I like to think & mull & dither & not decide until the last moment - and then not use any rational reasoning to make the call Heck, you could just take the player who offered the least input into the process. (or the most, to keep xade from murdering me in my sleep) Personally, I would take bids. Highest $ amount delivered by the start of round 2 - no refunds, keep all bid proceeds
