I'm sure ExD's surprise is not meant as a slight (though I read it as such on first read, to my shame) I was happy to learn we have some really excellent players of the female persuasion when I found out a year or three back. Speaking of really good warlockesses? witches? I wonder where ravenblackgames.com/player/Helena.html has gone; I think she had potential to take the top of the Ladder for a while.

Rycchus is a girl? Says who? __ As for Helena, I'm sure I remember him telling me he was a guy. (Unless that was someone else with a seemingly-girly name?) Does anyone know for definite she was a girl?

Oh dear... looks like we've got another situation here. Toyotami and I just pulled a Spez/Zugzwang, and finished our match in a 1-1-1 draw. games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=60650&full=1According to precedent, Slartucker should look look at our games and tell us which of us played better and more deserves to advance. I'd say we both played well overall, made a few boners here and there (game 60650, turn 30 was quite possibly the most epically bad turn I've ever seen for all players involved), and wound up with an evenly played match. I guess we'll see who wins. Admittedly, Toyo's win was probably a bit prettier than my paraFoD... but here's hoping. Good games, Toyotami... we need to play more often.

Rycchus is a girl? As for Helena... Does anyone know for definite she was a girl? I thought I'd heard Helena was a Welsh gal; was that from you, Taliesin? On a similar note, nawglan's profile says "I'm a dude" because I mistakenly thought he was female from some conversation or other, so I'm not good source on RL player gender behind any given Warlock Having met Slartucker, I can (mostly) assure folks he's human. I mean, I didn't get too personal with my observations Upon further thought, does it matter what the gender behind the character is? Or is this just trying to find another leverage point in psyching out one's opponent?

Hah! I had totally forgotten that Dubber. I do remember someone thinking I was of the female persuasion, just not who it was. 8)
Would be nice to include gender as a part of the game if only for those that would prefer to be named something other than "warlock".
Awall, I hope you get the nudge from Slarty. Would hate to lose you off my fantasy team. *grin*

I thought I'd heard Helena was a Welsh gal; was that from you, Taliesin? I think you're thinking of FOXY, a Welsh female player of some time past. I've no idea what nationality Helena was. Upon further thought, does it matter what the gender behind the character is? Or is this just trying to find another leverage point in psyching out one's opponent? I don't think it matters particularly, it's just a case of people's preconceptions being thrown for a loop. Interesting to watch, though. I wonder what would be the result if, hypothetically, I admitted to being female? How would people's perceptions change?

I wonder what would be the result if, hypothetically, I admitted to being female? How would people's perceptions change? Well, then I'd know I was right when I called you "girly-man" that time. Plus, we'd then know that Scotswomen are at least as dangerous as Scotsmen - or more likely even more so
