what about summoning the critter and forcing it to suicide? Should be ok also right?

no, that's definitely not okay, because it can be charmed. (or shielded, etc) a monster summoned with a target of Nobody (or an elemental) simply disappears, and is not affected by PSDD.

I've been watching ExDeath-Toyotami game for a while. And two turns before the end it looked like this: games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=62707&turn=35My question is shouldn't ExDeath tried for double death instead for hoping on Toyotami to screw (Toyotami options are limited to like one spellflow at this point)? Chances were slim, but they still were: turn 36: ExDeath (at 5hp): D/> Toyotami (at 1hp): F/D Now they have 50/50 guessing game. If ExDeath shows >/> (one stab turning to - because of charm person) and Toyo shows C/C, they both die. If Toyo abandons clap for LH:DFF or LH:DFPW ExDeath can show W/W (one W turning to - again). So, there were chances for double death, there were chances even to win (again if Toyo screws something, but at least he had more turns to ))) Of course, I'm no ExDeath by any means )) But league games are VF, why don't one try something risky (and flashy)? Or am I missing something obvious again and my 'way out' isn't way out at all? My apologies in case the latest is true, but I thought that if we will start discussing games and strategies it will do no harm even if the person to start discussion is dumb )))

Absolutely correct Biologin...stabbing in 36 and 37 would cook my goose. however, we can always look at every game and see what we could/should have done. I recently ladder game died agianst Xade games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=62609&full=1I had a choice between 50/50% live/die or 50/50% live/double death. I chose the former and died. Stupid. looking back i was cursing but we say here in Japan Shouganai (that's life).

I think ExDeath implied this during the game. In a non-league Friendly match, the only thing that has an impact on external events is who wins. In that case the double death is obviously preferable to a death. In a VF league match, however, the points are all that matters, and ExDeath seems to have further simplified this for himself, to the question "can I win the league?" With three wins and a double death, he probably couldn't. So to ExDeath the double death was no better than his own death, despite the 2 points difference in score.

I would like to withdraw from the league for a couple of months maybe, I'm not in the mood to play Warlocks for the moment. I think I've played all my games but one already for January.

I suggest that you are only elligable for the extra points for a kill if you play a rated game. Not VF.

Re-raising question about Spleenboy and Sojobo, since they are inactive since December. For me personally it doesn't mean much since I'm 2-0-2 anyway, but for Spacca or Citanest or xade or Toyo (or maybe for others at top half of current standings) that could seriously affect month ranking. The league is about fun of course, but I guess fun was meant for participants, not for guys who left without warning... No fun in losing point on a guy who didn't even care to attend.

Re-answering the question for the third time: "it's already covered, under the part about surrendering if you haven't given your opponent a chance to play. If your opponent refuses to do so you can go to the coordinator, and ditto if they simply don't show up."

Slartucker I'm sorry, but when should players "go to coordinator"? on the very last day of the month? on the 2 days before the last day? in the middle of the month?

*shrug* At whatever point you feel like there would no longer be a reasonable amount of time to play your game, if he showed up then.

Well... looks like I just pulled off the mean move of the month... games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=62671&full=1(If you check the rules, that measn he needs to palm out... I feel kind of bad about that, but I'd managed to summon *myself* by not paying attention on the game before. That said, at another level, a win's a win.)

Nice move emrys.
By the way, did anyone else find that games weren't nearly as enjoyable without monsters running around? It was interesting to try for a few games, but I don't think I'll play this option by choice in the future.
