Of course, in duel, "resistance is useless!" as my old line ran... Well that is the point where I tend to disagree. But presumably the only chance to prove resistance being a good cast sometimes, is to properly barbecue you. Wider

I explained the reason for resistance generally being poor already on the Refuge, it's in the Resistance section.
"Elemental resistances are usually well-nigh useless in 2 player, the exceptions being when you can choose WWFP instead of WWPP to block a Fireball, say, or when an elemental has already been summoned and is making trouble. They take up four gestures, they eschew doing something immediately useful (summoning a goblin, causing light wounds), and they encourage you to clap, which is generally a bad idea. Any skilled opponent will capitalise on your lost time."
I suspect by the time your ELO breaks 1700 or so, you'll feel the same way.

Also wrong (well, as long as you are registered or log in once a year...) 3. Resist in a 1v1 game is not very good.

Back on topic.
Monsters - with multiple attack options.
It could attack with it's Ice knife for 1 magical damage. It could attack with it's sword for 4 physical damage. It could wave it's left hand (or perhaps hold a limited amount of gestures availiable!)

xade: mebby. How about affects that give + to damage. Load your monsters up with those after you create them. Even load em up with one that heals every turn for a while.
I'm going to be limiting games with non-standard spell books to a status of "testing". They won't affect elo, etc. And will be indexed differently in the archive. Spell books will be able to be turned into "standard" ones easily, once they have been play-tested thoroughly.

multi-hand! Take a class of character - remove WPP (to prevent multi-counter) - add an extra hand. or something! Let's have the option for multi-hand! 8 armed monster - each hand must throw a different gesture.

Didn't want to hijack the new guild/coven thread...
My idea for guilds: Is a collection of players. That's it. However, I do want to limit membership to a single guild / warlock. Then, on the ladder pages, guilds could be ranked. There will be other built in benefits for guild membership (as the guild rises in rank, they get more goodies for their home page, access to more spellbook slots, etc.).
Ideas, thoughts?
