Everybody is welcome to discuss new league structure, RP, clans, monthly rule or everything else related to the League in this thread and\or in this subforum.
Cheers )

Also, now that there is a seperate forum for discussion, everyone should really feel free to make new threads to discuss the current league if they have a new topic to discuss -- I don't think we need to keep it all in one thread, do we?

Slartucker You're right, we don't need to keep everything in one thread, and everyone is encouraged to create threads if there is a need to. I thought, however, that someone will create a topic for general discussion anyway, so I figured out I might as well do it myself ))
I also wanted to test my permissions in this forum, and that was hard in an empty forum. Anyway, feel free to delete this thread if you feel like it would be better for everyone to create their own threads )

Nah, this is fine, I just didn't want people to feel restricted to this one thread.

Just a couple of questions regarding the Dec rule: (1) the restriction only applies to the spell "charm person" right? i.e. you can still para someone/self to -, >, or C, correct? (2) when casting charm person on self, does the restriction still apply? i.e. cannot clap after self charm?
PS: I quite like this rule!

12 answers are "yes" (this rule applies to PSDF only, other spells are unaffected) and yes (restrictions apply to all PSDFs regardless of target) =)

So, is there going to be a draft for the 4 selected clans? How are the members going to be chosen, Will there be a 5th "Ronin" clan that contains the players not directly affiliated?

First of all, clans are (and will always be) an optional (albeit highly recommended) part of the league. Players can choose to apply to the clans. Each clan may have its own approval process, though there will be at least one or two that will accept almost anyone. So after the clans are announced around December 16th, people can apply at any time; that gives everyone two weeks before the first month where clans count in the league. I am asking all the clan leaders to be lenient on their requirements for this initial "rush period". You can only be a member of one clan at any time. (This is a strict rule, as usergroup permissions for the forums are involved.) So if you want to change clans, you must renounce your membership of your old clan first. Presumably this will make you an enemy of the old clan -- I believe the term is "traitor" -- but that's up to them. For the scores, there will be a "ronin" category (excellent name choice -- I'm gonna use that!) that will tally members who are not in a clan, just for fun. However, the ronin category can't win the High Clan title or choose the next month's rule, and there is no ronin champion or daimon, etc. Also, it won't be calculated for Versus Scores since it is not an actual organization. However, clanless warlocks *are* perfectly eligible for the High Champion title, for which clan membership is not a factor.

Looks like I'm a bit confused by the league rules application - points will be countered in all battles started in December, or in battles started with the league's participants or something else?

The clan stuff doesn't apply yet, it's just the regular league rules for December. Bio will post pairings in a day or two to make sure everyone has a chance to re-sign up after the breaks.

I presume forcing surrender is ok in the league?

wastelin Basically yes, but it is preferred to let me know if opponent hasn't moved for 2+ days (save weekends). But remember, League is about fun, so don't hesistate to wait for a few more days if you have plenty of time before the round end. Be nice, have fun )
