By the way, the first post of the results thread should instruct us to note any points from charms with our match results.

w00t! Finally won a league battle and landed charms where I remembered to not force '-'('>'/'C') -- annoying that I haven't actually earned '3' points for a battle yet, tho

Biologin, When you post the standings, can you post how many games each player has finished? It makes the points a lot more meaningful.

Well, for December League I'd say that players that can realistically clinch for the first place are myself, awall and MikeEB (and maybe succat if he finishes all his games in time and wins at least 4 of them). Technically there are other players who can make it by landing multiple charms in their remaining games, but that's unlikely IMHO. This said, the games to watch for are: games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=68831 - BioLogIn - succat - going around parachain and FoD for N-th time; succat has 2HP advantage and slightly better position as of turn 21. games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=68936 - awall - Pseudo - after D/P mirror there happened some weird things (like Pseudo missling self while being invisible); awall is leading so far (turn 11) - with double ogre and 6HP advantage games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=68844 - awall - xade; awall has 6HP advantage and two ogres again; and he has a goblin to add insult to injury. However, by turn 28 xade's position somehow looks better then Pseudo's. games.ravenblack.net/warlocks?num=68922 - MikeEB - saypin - nothing actually happened in first 20+ turns, but MikeEB's spellflow is definitely better now (turn 26).

The highlight of the first 20 turns was banking the charm on turn 18. The fact that I just cashed it in last turn means that my spellflow advantage looks greater than it actually is. Given the nature of the league rule, however, landing a charm is pretty far from 'nothing happens'.

Too bad banked charms don't count twice. Once for the successful charm being banked and once for using the banked spell

Well, awall landed a charm on xade. Looks like I can stop bleeding initiative vs. saypin in hopes of landing one more charm and just go for the stomp.

Apologies to everyone for the lack of updates to league standings; I've had very busy week (( I'll try to double-check and update standings today or tomorrow.

I seem to have run into a rules issue. If I surrender now, before the 26th, I get +3 league points just from charms. According to the league rules, however, if the match continues beyond the 26th I will not receive any points, even though I will likely be a few turns and one 50-50 away from administering poetic justice and have 3 charm points in the bank.
I feel this is unfair. I think a better solution would be to count an unfinished match as a draw rather than not count it at all.

Counting unfinished matches as draws 'rewards' losing players for stalling.
You're going to have to come up with something more elegant, I think. I understand your position, but it's going to be hard to change the rules at this late date to favor you without someone else having an equally valid counterargument (at least 'but I've been playing with the current ruleset in mind').

The current system rewards saypin for stalling: he'd get 0 points instead of -3 for a loss or -2 for a draw.
The most elegant solutions would be to play beyond the end of the month (most accurate but not really feasible) or to have the unraveller award a win for warlocks in a winning position at the end of the month (as was done in the tournament swiss rounds)

I guess petitioning the unraveller is good enough.
